How do I transfer/port my number to Silvercell?

FAQs Transferring Your Current Number to Silvercell

You can bring an eligible phone number to Silvercell while it is still active with your current provider. Do not cancel that service before the transfer is complete.

Receive your order and activate your Silvercell line first

Wait until you have received your order and activated Silvercell service for the line before requesting the number transfer. For an eSIM order that does not require shipping, follow the activation and phone-setup instructions in My Account.

Your Silvercell line is initially activated with a temporary phone number. You can use that number until your transfer completes. The number you bring to Silvercell will replace the temporary number.

Have your current provider's information ready

  • The phone number you want to bring
  • Your current provider's name and account number
  • The account holder's name and billing address exactly as that provider has them
  • The Number Transfer PIN or port-out PIN required by that provider

Ask your current provider to remove any number-transfer or port-out lock before you submit the request. Your old provider's transfer PIN is different from the one-time Verification PIN used to sign in to Silvercell.

Request the transfer in My Account

  1. Open My Account and sign in with your account email address or primary phone number and the one-time Verification PIN.
  2. Under My Lines, find the activated line you want to use and select Open line details.
  3. Open Line Services, choose Change Phone Number, and select Bring my current number - no fee if the choices are shown. You may also see a Transfer my number shortcut.
  4. Enter the number and your current provider's account information. Review the information and the required confirmations carefully.
  5. Select Submit transfer to send the request.

When your transfer is complete

We will email you with the subject Silvercell has your number! when the transfer completes. The transferred number will replace the temporary number on your Silvercell line.

Keep your old service active until the transfer is complete. Afterward, confirm the transferred line's closure and any final bill with your old provider. A transfer does not necessarily close other lines or services on that account.
