Phone & Account Features
How do I use my phone as a hotspot?
Mobile Hotspot is a feature that lets you share your network connection with other devices so they can access the internet. Devices connect to your Mobile Hotspot using their Wi-Fi feature. This setup is also called tethering or internet sharing. Silvercell provides the option to use Mobile Hotspot for no additional cost. Please remember that while connected, this will use and deduct data from your monthly plan. Hotspot uses your plan data and is subject to the plan's data limits and terms.
Hotspot availability depends on your phone model and plan. Some feature phones support it and others do not. Sign in to My Account, find the line under My Lines and select Open line details. Under Line features, check Mobile Hotspot - Free and turn it on if the eligible control is available. Then turn on hotspot in your phone's settings and connect the other device to that hotspot network. The hotspot password is found in the phone's hotspot settings. If the feature is not available for your line or you need help, chat with SilverService.
Mobile Hotspot is available for most smartphones.
